Solving Bangladesh's corruption with BB84 Protocol (A Quantum Key Distribution Method)

Problem

According to a report by the daily star, government agencies have undertaken eight different projects in and around the capital, ignoring the Revised Strategic Transport Plan (RSTP) and without consulting each other. For instance, the Bangladesh Bridge Authority (BBA) has already spent Tk 321 crore in conducting a feasibility study and preliminary design for a 258km subway network in the capital and adjacent areas, while another government agency is already implementing a plan for six metro rail lines about 140km long. There are other big corruptions like Balish Kando (Bought pillow in 20x price and many more) and many more!

Moreover, according to World Economic Forum Bangladesh's level of Corruption Perception is 26.7 against a global average of 48.4. (Bangladesh, n.d.)

Solution

Using BB84 Protocol, we can share confidential information like the tender details and others only between the engineers and government. In this way, there will be no middleman who will ask for money or threaten the engineers for money.

The BB84 protocol uses the polarization state of photons to encode key bits. A pair of orthonormal polarization bases are required because according to Heisenberg’s principle if the polarization state is defined in one of the bases, it is undefined in the other. The protocol uses such four polarization states.

This is how our government can solve this problem using the Quantum Key Distribution technique.
